I did 2 exceptional runs while in Oregon and California:
1. barefoot on Lincoln City beach. Man o man, it felt so good. Running barefoot past the surf and spray felt like running should be. An hour and a quarter felt awesome...but my calves are still sore 3 days later!
2. through the Coastal Redwood Forest at Prairie Creek State Park. Huge trees, babbling brook, ferns, slugs, elk. Went out to the beach then back on a different trail. Ooops, 11 miles was further than I really meant to do.
